Midnight at the Concord is the 13th episode overall of Amazon Prime's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and the 5th episode of Season 2. It was released on Amazon Prime on December 5, 2018.

Synopsis[]

The Summer season at Steiner Mountain Resort continues as Moishe and Shirley join the group, disturbing Abe's peace. Susie tries to ward off a new friend while keeping a low profile at the resort. Midge jumps at the opportunity to redeem herself at B. Altman. [1]

Plot[]

Midge rushes back to New York when B. Altman calls needing a temporary fill-in at the cosmetics counter. She also begins dating Benjamin, despite her original misgivings. After taking him to see Lenny Bruce perform, she reveals she is also a stand-up comic. Abe and Rose are dressing up for the "Polynesian Night" in Steiner Resort; however, Abe seems not willing to participate as he is assuming that Moishe will ruin the evening. Surprisingly, Rose offers her husband to stay at their cabin, promising him to bring him a pineapple boat. She assures that Shirley and Moishe are going to be off by Tuesday, meaning they won't ruin the "Schnitzel night." Shirley, wearing her heavy fur coat in mid-summer, tries to convince her son to find a new girlfriend. Joel, however, refuses, assuring his mother that he is fine. Midge returns to the Catskills for a late-night gig at a hotel. Her set includes risqué material, including about her parents' sex life, then discovers mid-act that Abe is in the audience.
